The PineOx platform offers a meaningful way to contribute to environmental sustainability through reforestation efforts. Users are encouraged to participate actively in planting trees, thereby offsetting their carbon footprint and fostering ecological responsibility.

Core Mechanics

• Participants receive a digital seed upon joining, which requires watering through the completion of educational lessons. This interactive approach combines learning with ecological action.
• Completing two lessons nourishes the digital seed into a virtual tree. Subsequently, the PineOx team commits to planting a corresponding real tree in the environment.
• The initial lesson involves utilizing the CO2 calculator, which assesses your annual carbon emissions based on personal habits and lifestyle choices. This allows the app to determine the duration during which planting a single tree will render you carbon neutral.
• After planting your first tree, a countdown begins indicating how long you will maintain your CO2 neutrality. Continued engagement through lessons and additional tree planting is necessary to sustain this status.

Inviting Friends, Gifting Trees & Impact Map

• The initial seed is provided free of charge to all new users of PineOx.
• Access to subsequent seeds requires engagement—either by watching advertisements or inviting friends. Referral incentives allow each invited friend who joins using your unique code to grant you an extra digital seed.
• Every user contributes to the overall Tree Impact, representing the cumulative number of trees planted by yourself and your network, including friends invited directly or indirectly via your referrals.
• Immediately after onboarding, users can send two gift seeds to friends who have not yet joined the platform. Once accepted, these friends become part of your network, and their participation influences your overall Tree Impact score.

Transparency & Actual Tree Planting

• To address common concerns about transparency in environmental initiatives, PineOx features a Tree Impact Map that displays detailed information about every planted tree within the community.
• Data on who invited whom is accessible to all users, fostering openness and accountability.
• The platform directly manages the planting process; PineOx does not outsource this task to third-party organizations. Users can view images and geolocations of each tree planted by PineOx’s team within the application’s Tree Impact Map section.
